This view of the Par 3, 1st hole of the Bandon Preserve course informs the player that this is a real professionally designed golf course not a pitch and putt par 3 course. The green is deceptive in its length and a long first putt is common. The small pot bunker in the front is in play more often than you would think especially with a front pin. This hole appears intimate in its surroundings but this notion of intimacy will be dispelled upon reaching the 2nd tee.
