A pastel dawn sky can be seen over the Pacific Ocean beyond the par 3, 11th hole of the Bandon Preserve viewed from a dune behind the green. The soft light before sunrise creates an ethereal view of the course. Cut Creek, a deep chasm cutting between the Preserve and the Bandon Dunes course, encroaches on the left side of the hole and can catch tee shots going too far left. Bandon Preserve is the fifth course of the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. The course opened in 2012. Architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw with assistance by David Zinkand.
