A side view of the Par 3, 2nd hole of the Bandon Preserve course with Cut Creek, the Bandon Dunes course and the Pacific Ocean in the background. The bunker shown is the deepest on the course and catches tee shots all too frequently. This is the longest hole at 150 yards from the back tee and can seem shorter from the greatly elevated tee. It is a glorious view from the tee of both the distant ocean and the Bandon Dunes course to the north. Beware of a pushed or blocked shot that can easily end up in the Cut Creek canyon to the right. Bandon Preserve is the fifth course of the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. The course opened in 2012. Architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw with assistance by David Zinkand.
