The short Par 3, 8th hole of the Bandon Preserve course. The green sits in a bowl not entirely in view from the tee (the teeing ground is to the lower right of the photo). The Pacific Ocean can be seen on the horizon from this elevated view. The hole is only 63 yards from the back tee and 40 yards from the front tee. The tee shot is semi-blind. A very delicate pitch shot is required to get near the pin. Bandon Preserve is the fifth course of the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. The course opened in 2012. Architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw with assistance by David Zinkand.
