This view from the top of the eastern dune shows the exciting green contouring of the par 4, 11th hole of the Old Macdonald Course. The Pacific Ocean can be seen on the horizon. The trademark pot bunker of the “Road” hole can be seen in shadow to the left front of the green. As the extreme green contouring shows it takes a delicate approach to hold the green. The tee shot must carry a series of bunkers on the right and avoid a patch of gorse just off the right of the fairway. Old Macdonald is the fourth course of the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. The course opened in 2010. Architects, Tom Doak and Jim Urbina.
