This beautiful bunker and backlighting makes for an artistic rendering of the par 3, 12th hole of the Bandon Trails Course of the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. This is a long par 3 sometimes requiring a driver for many average length golfers. A shot left ends up in the woods. However, the best way to run the ball up onto the green is to hit just left of the green long enough to clear the trees that are short of the safe area. But beware the left green side bunker. A tee shot to the right might require a delicate pitch over a steep green side mound. Bandon Trails is the third course of the acclaimed Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. The course opened in 2005.
