Late afternoon light featuring the seaside cliffs and the eastern dunescape of the par 4 13th hole of the Pacific Dunes Course of the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. This view shows the intimidation of the shoreline chasms from the foreground tees. The Sheep Ranch and Cape Arago can be seen in the far distance to the north. Many consider this to be the “signature” hole of the course but the architect would rather not use labels. This is this photographer’s 2nd favorite hole on the course to photograph. The course has been ranked at the very top of the U.S. public course rankings since its opening in 2001. Architect, Tom Doak, Renaissance Design.
