An elevated view of the short par 4 16th hole of the Pacific Dunes Course of the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Bandon, Oregon. This hole can be reached with a tee shot setting up an eagle putt for long hitters. The best place for tee shots not destined for the green should be played to the left to get the best angle to the green. However, there are bunkers on the right if played a little to far left. There is a deep depression to the right front of the green which catches a lot of approaches that don’t make it to the green and a deep bunker behind the green that catches approaches that are long. The course has been ranked at the very top of the U.S. public course rankings since its opening in 2001. Architect, Tom Doak, Renaissance Design.
